I inherited a black glass top range when we bought this house. In a couple of weeks, it will be replaced with a gas range and I am strongly contemplating taking the glass top into the back yard and having at it with a sledge hammer!! It is absolutely horrible to clean and absolutely horrible to cook with. The elements keep cycling on and off which means that I cannot get a constant heat. Oh and did I say I can't get the dang top clean?? If anything drips it seems to be there for life!!
