I think that having it sit on this blue bedspread shows how nicely a border would frame the quilt. I would use a darker color (either a blue or a green depending on what your favorite is, I don't think there is enough brown to make a dark brown work well). Then I would bind it in the same color. I would not want to distract from the top, just frame it. I love the look of this top - scrappy, yet very 'planned' looking - nicely done!
