Since you're the only one who can tell the true color, it's hard to advise. I know you are seeing a beige or softer white, but what I see is bright white. And it doesn't blend well with the earth tones of the batiks. Can you post a picture of a neutral that's a few shades darker than this one?
Or shift gears and try, instead of beige, a bluish grey batik, or even a pale yellow-green.
