I keep an empty plastic container that they came in for bad blades. It's marked "Old" on the outside.
If you don't have one, or some other container to put it in, you can always wrap up a bad blade in duct tape before tossing it. Sometimes I put sharp things (broken glass, etc.) into milk cartons.
