I have a jar candle that I often burn while sewing. The spent blades and needles and pins are dropped in there. As the wax melts, they sink in and they are safely encased. I am on my second jar at home. At camp I have the jar in the sunny window and the wax is often soft enough to just press the things into it. Just make sure extinguish the flame before you leave the room!
