I'm a old guy that retired a few years ago. I am 62 and do several different kinds of crafts, leatherworking, broom making, I used to make quite a few white oak baskets, and I worked in the coopers shop part time at the Ozark Folk Center. I am focusing on leather and canvas work now, I used to do some blacksmithing but my shoulders are shot. I have a Consew 206 and PFAFF 130, and a new(yesterday) Singer 128. I have made a few squares for quilts, but not a real focus for me. Maybe I will set up the 128 for making some quilts. We have a wood cookstove that I hang around during the winter so it might get set up there. It looks like I can learn a lot on here.
The leather and canvas work has been done in the basement up until now but I am fixing up my truck so I can head out to a river or lake, put out the awning, set up work tables, and sew with the PFAFF off batteries and solar panels and make my lunch over a campfire. The big C has made me realize I need to enjoy every day!
