I hope you have a wonderful journey on your machine. I learned a little at a time as will you. One thing I did was keep a journal with the size of the quilt, type of thread, number of bobbins and time it took. I put a stop watch from Walmart on my machine. It cost $10 back then. I can see over the years how much faster I have gotten along with seeing the progress in my quilting.
Good Idea on the logbook! I do that for spinning yarn, didn't think of it in this application. I'm a long way off 1005! Wow! The next quilt is already on the frame. I did pillow shams to match it and to practice rulers before going to the main event. Couldn't find a ruler that worked for what I wanted so my hubby made me one on his 3D printer and it works awesome! Here's one of the pillow shams quilted. I was going for a stained glass effect because that's what the quilt reminds me of. The black has a meander around the outside and wishbones between the colours.
