After looking at this design for awhile, the 4-patch blocks in the center of the Jacob's Ladder blocks started to look a little off. They were oriented so that the blue/green squares were down the middle of the blocks. I changed them to have the white squares down the middle.
Which looks better? Does the white down the middle look too regimented and predictable? Or does it look more in keeping with the on-point setting of the blocks?
I like the first one. It stands out more with the white in the center and holds my attention to look at the center.
