Pfaff Passport presser foot pressure - Question
On my Pfaff Passport 3.0, the presser foot pressure is adjusted by turning a control on top of the machine. I understand how it's supposed to work, having read the manual and watched a couple videos.
However.... No matter how much I loosen the the knob (3 or 4 full turns), the pressure does not seem to ease up. In other words, with the presser foot down, IDT disengaged, and presser foot pressure loosened significantly, I still can't manually move the fabric under the foot at all, i.e. the foot doesn't have any "float" action. What am I missing?
I bought the machine new about 1.5 years ago, and I'm the only one who uses it, so I can't imagine the presser foot pressure control is broken.
Help!
