I have. I participate in the yahoo I spy swap group fairly regularly. Their rules require washing and quilt shop quality.
I've also participated in the swap on QB many times. This group does not require washing and there is no requirement for quilt shop quality. I have mixed the fabrics and don't see any problem. I have tossed some squares that seemed stiff and thin, though.
I did not know that the fabric for this group was
supposed to be unwashed until this swap. I just thought you didn't have to wash.
I can't tell the difference after the quilt is washed.
