Good luck with your search. It may take a while to find a face plate for your machine because, as you've already ascertained, it is the problem that all of these machines have. So even if you find one it will most likely have at least one broken hinge spot. There are fixes for them if you do find one, usually not pretty, but effective.

Can they be fixed? One of my 503s has one broken hinge. It works, but falls off when you remove the lid. It appears to be pot metal. It didn't occur to me that it could be fixed.
Luckily the other one is complete.
