I use glue sticks...can't say enough good things about them. Run a strip of glue..put the 2 pieces together, flip one back to approx. 1/4"(just about where you think you'll sew)..see if they line up perfectly..if they do, pinch the joint and you're good. If not, slide the top piece till it's where you want it..glue stays moist so blocks slide right to where you want them!
