November 2018 Mug Rug Swap (Thanksgiving)
Welcome to the November Mug Rug swap, the theme for this month is Thanksgiving.
Let your creativity help you create a beautiful Mug Rug for your partner. When I think of Thanksgiving I think of Turkey, corn-stalks, cornucopia etc.
Signups begin: 22 October 2018
Signups end: 31 October 2018
Partners assigned no later than 2 November 2018
Mail by date is 10 November 2018 for international and all others is 20 November 2018 these dates are firm please abide by them.
What is a Mug Rug. A Mug Rug is an item you use to place a cup of coffee/tea or soda on, along with a small snack plate/napkin beside it. It’s approximately 9”X 8” or larger so both items will fit. Please do not make it smaller than 9” X 8” as that is quite small as it is.
You must send your name, address, and phone number to me, Armylady2012, by October 31st. You need to PM me when you mail (also send tracking number) and receive so I can keep a good account of everything.
You will be assigned a Partner and each partner will be responsible for contacting each other for addresses.
you must use 100% quilting cotton fabric, you can do something abstract, realistic or whimsical. Be sure to use a good batting in between to protect furniture from damage due to heat/cold, use a binding method you are comfortable with or practice and learn a new binding technique, you must quilt the Mug Rug. Please be kind about what you receive, if you have any issues please work it out with your partner first before contacting me, communication is key. This board is for all of us to make friends and have fun.
You are free to include little gifts with your Mug Rug, handmade or store-bought, it’s up to you but you are only obligated to send a Mug Rug.

Please take a photo before mailing just in case your partner is not able to take one for posting on the thread.
You are required by the board to send items you sign up for, or risk not having the ability to swap in other swaps. Again per board rules, anything about your partner or the item they swap to you that doesn’t please You is not to be posted on the board but sent in a PM to me or to your partner to sort out. It’s polite and the right thing to do.
