I have spent countless hours in a recliner getting chemo. I want a quilt that will cover me but not so big that it is hard to manage. Too wide quilts get caught in the chair and too big quilts are so heavy that it is difficult to manage in weakened state.
My favorite home “made blanket of any type was the one a friend gifted me with, because it was a narrow twin size, and had a 12” pocket sewed to the bottom end of just doubled fabric, with a seam up the middle of the pocket, for me to put my feet in to keep them covered. I loved that blanket to death. It was given to my first dog, “Yukon King” it was “his” blanket from then on, and he was wrapped in it when he passed six years ago. I still miss both of them.
