I think a cookie party/exchange is a great way to warm up to your neighbors! Everyone loves cookies and the kids will be sure to have a great time too
In my neighborhood the all-time-kids-favorite is my peanut butter cups (i.e. imagine a super fresh Reese's p-butter cup!) which I put red/green/white sprinkles on the top to make them kinda sorta holiday festive. I know they're really not cookies but they are, by far, the favorites on the plate!
