I stumbled on this free pattern/tutorial and just had to make it. Just so adorable. If you want to try appliquing on a small scale, this is the perfect project. Simple applique pieces. I'm not much of a hand quilter so used machine top stitching and decorative stitches to quilt this.. And, instead of EPP on the 6-point star, I just pieced the star, turned edge, and machine applique'd. As much as I would have like to embroider the saying on the quilt, I did relent and hand embroider. Yuck... This measures 12x15 finished.
