When I lived in Hawaii (the 70's-80's) you were required to keep a dog in quarantine for 6 months in Hawaii before you could have them. Very, very hard on the dog, obviously.... I sure hope that's changed.
There is a 120 day quarantine BUT.. you can do the time over on the mainland.. it really isnt a quarantine and i had done it already, 2 rabies shots, a blood titre test and 120 days later, Hawaii will accept the dog. If you dont have the blood titre testing done yet, then yeah.. 120 days actual quarantine in their horrid animal facility. As an off chance that someday I might move here, I had it done already, about 2 years ago. Serendipity!
