The Ding Dong Cake is out of this world! The bad side is that it takes three hours to make, but it's well worth the time. The cake and the whoopie pies - don't have my hard copies handy but will find them. I lost these two recipes when we restored my computer back to day one but I have back-up hard copies.
The whoopie pies are so fabulous and found that they are better eaten frozen! Yes, that's right. They thaw in your hands while you eat and they never freeze very firm so it's a soft type freeze which is refreshing to eat a frozen one on a warm day. I just hope I find all the whoopie pie recipes and my notes of each one. I think I found the ultimate whoopie pie recipe. I'll let you be the judge. And I found that in different parts of the country they are called by different names so it was interesting to say the least.
I'll just start a different thread for these two recipes because we'll need it. Hope to find them soon.
