This topic was just discussed among some friends this week. Many years we don’t celebrate traditional Thanksgiving. We are grateful but find other ways and days to express gratitude. I grew up with it as a family get together as a kid. I kind of thought about it then but all the adults in my life took this holiday for granted.
This year my friend and her daughter invited me over. It will be just us three. I felt it was important to accept the invitation since she doesn’t have any family and I care about her and her daughter.
