That is exactly what I have been doing.
I'm also moving my sewing room to my den and I have unearthed treasures that I haven't seen in ages. Not only that, I have found things that I have purchased over and over without realizing it. I have even found a couple of shopping bags (small ones) that have sewing tools in them that I haven't even touched. And fabric, don't even get started on that one...
I've been trying NOT to put a guilt trip on myself, realizing all of the money that I have paid for things that I didn't need. So I have put myself on a "quilting starvation diet."
