To this to an inexpensive thimble: Take a hammer and tap the rim of the thimble into an oval shape. It will fit so much better and be more comfortable. I found the best fitting thimble for me other then the ones I ovaled, it's the new Clover thimble, looks like a tiny badminton bird!
