Teen, I couldn't wait until tomorrow so I'm working on it today.
I'm not sure if this technique has a name or not but what I decided to do was use
Ricky Tim's stable stuff (a paper-like stabilizer you can put in the printer) to print off the templates for the applique. Then I plan to use Sharon's method of folding the allowances around the templates and gluing them in place. Then I'll use an invisible machine stitch technique to attach the pieces to the background material. As I said earlier, I've never done applique before. Today I'm merely printing out the templates and am cutting the fabric pieces. It's fun! And relaxing too, something I'm a little surprised by.
