My guild had a July workshop making Santa wallhangings or throws. But the pattern isn't free. It's fast and fun to make, no quilting required as it's quilted as you go. Some chose to make it a rag quilt some didn't. When Christmas is over the quilt is turned around to show Santa leaving getting ready for the New Year. The back is the back side of Santa. So cute.
