I like my robot vacuum for quick clean up. It does get stuck under furniture, so you do need to be close to watch it. I don't think it does as good of a job as a good big vacuum, but I use it every other day and it does a fair job. I don't use it in my sewing room as I have carpet and it doesn't work on carpet. We don't have any animals or kids, just the 2 of us, so the house don't get very dirty. I don't even us my big vacuum in the sewing room till I get the thread and pins up. I have a large magnet with a handle, I put masking tape on it with the sticky side down, run it over the thread and pins and get almost all of it. Then I use my big vacuum.
