I bought a 5.0 about 5 years ago, I traded my Ambition 1.0 in on it, I love it. This is actually my 3rd Pfaff as I have a Select 3 which I take to class. The larger sewing area is great and I find I use several of the stitches when finishing, there are a lot that I haven't experimented with yet but will in future. I have never been able to get the auto threader to work but will try suggestion to push needle up before I try. When using this machine I make sure to clean out the bobbin area before starting a new project as it seems to collect a lot of dust no matter what thread I use. Would never buy a machine that does not have built in walking feature, have had a walking foot on other brand and just to clumsy to attach and use. I have not had any problem doing FMQ with this machine and also use my Westalee rulers with no problem. I did buy an extended service agreement and take machine in once a year for cleaning and adjustments.
