Maybe if you tell us why you had bad luck or bad results with it, those of us who love it can give you some help to be successful with it? I use it straight, and smooth the fabric over each side, a half at at time, and give it plenty of time to dry. I aim to keep my glue swirls about four inches apart. I have a sheet of vinyl that I bought at Walmart, that I spread on the spare room bed, then do my gluing layers on it, so I can leave it sit until it is dry and do not have to move it until dry and basted.
