i crochet & knit ..plus quilt i use row markers a lot in knitting ..both for counting rows and stitches when working a stitch pattern. they use to make a row counter that would slip onto needle and transfer with each round to help w many rows. but ..i really don't use them with my crochet. there are crochet patterns that are intricate with multiple stitch patterns within the overall pattern ...one might use stitch markers for those. the really cute stitch & row markers i've seen on web and have thought about buying ..i haven't ..because the dangly beaded ones and some of the other jewel type markers i'm afraid will get tangled in or snag on yarn.
