Singer was also very good about stamping part numbers all over the place, so that is another way to check if the more obvious things (like feed dog knob) aren't there.
I did notice when starting to research old Singers, there were part numbers galore! That helped me find the right knee bar for the 128. Love the OCD part number thing!!

The ruffler is apparently very popular in the ballet industry and for costuming. People who make curtains also love it.
