i've been making wall sized and smaller portable design boards for my miniatures and blocks for years. i just use felt glued to cardboard ..will try foam board for next wall sized one. some heavy carsboard can be difficult to stick pins into. yes they cling to the felt w/o pins ..unless they attract feline attention or doggy sweep passes nearby
