Additionally, the colors for Isacord seem to really vary from site to site, making it hard to discern what I might really be getting. I wish that sellers of Isacord would put up actual thread cones to see. Still depending on how to see the color on the computer screen - but this seems to be a bit more accurate than thread cards with tiny squares.
Dawn, I have used both Isacord and Magnifico. They both work really well for me. I don’t notice a difference in sheen between the two brands. I do however, notice that some colours have more sheen than others. That is possibly contingent on what fabric the thread is sewn on. So many variables.
I buy my Isacord in a store so have the luxury of matching colours to fabric.
As QuiltE suggested try samples of both and see what appeals to you. It’s subjective so what I think looks great may not appeal to you.
