no, no pattern. you should have seen me try to make hex's into squares with "corners" from squares cut diagonally. of course they did not go on well at all. i finally drew my hex and then drew lines across it in an X and then a line across the middle to show all "pieces of the pie". that was what i needed. triangles that size. i cut one out of paper and got my triangle ruler slide it down a bit to show seam allowance(important) and cut them out. this time it worked.
the triangles go onto the right upper side and another on the lower left one. then they are laid out in rows. sort of like the lady does here
