Try cooking oil. It's amazing what you can get off with it (gummy residues from labels, glues, etc.) "Wash" your dry hand(s) with it, work the oil in for a bit till you feel the goo softening. You may need to let it "sit" for a bit to soften it. Then rub your oiled hands well with dish soap. Wash it all off with water. It should come right off.

(Cooking oil is great for any "goo" on non-porous surfaces. Don't try this on textiles unless you are desperate and are willing to throw them out if you can't get the oil out after the goo is gone.)
