Default leaf tension adjustment

It was asked today what the leaf tension adjustment is.

I prefer leaf tensions to the two disc, two springs, numbered dials that most of us are used to. So very simple. The thread comes off the bobbin, slides between two fingers of steel, usually a slot is in one as a guide. There is a hinge at the needlbar side that allows for some flex and there is an easy way to separate the discs for thread insertion. In the case of this Sew Easy, it is the roundish disk to the right of center. They thumbscrew in the middle is not only the mount, but also the way to change tension. Easy peasy.

There are, of course, variations.
