My only problem with Uber is what happens if there is an accident? Do the drivers carry extra insurance to cover if you are hurt badly? The minimum requirements in most states aren't going to cover the cost of something like life flight or even a complicated injury.
My son-in-law and grandsons were in accident, but a minor one. They weren't hurt and their ride was then free, but the poor driver was devastated that his new car was now damaged. I don't know about what kind of insurance is provided these drivers.
And, yes, the tip is included in the fare.
