Uber drivers are independent contractors I think, but regardless I've never had a job that required a vehicle where I wasn't responsible for all insurance. And I seriously doubt Uber provides any medical insurance if that was what you mean?
What I know of Uber is Bonnie Hunter's prebooked cab was 1+ hour late to take her to the airport for her Japan flight.
