[QUOTE=Grace creates;8199928 I suggest looking for a navy pre printed panel that could be cut apart and reassembled into a quilt.[/QUOTE]

I disagree. Having made one quilt by cutting a panel apart and making it into a quilt, I want to let every one know that it is a difficult process. It's hard to get it right. Working on the second one, I double down on that "hard to get it right" comment.

Pre-printed panels are great. Cutting them apart and getting all the stuff to line up is not easy. Using a panel as the centerpiece of a quilt is a great idea. Add blocks around the sides, add multiple borders or a combination thereof. Just don't cut it up unless you are prepared to spend lots of time with Mr. Seamripper.
