I had some phone screen protectors that just fit the "metal" part of the bed of my 15000 and put them on to protect just that area. Has worked fine and stayed "adhered". An Amazon search shows tablet screen protectors in quite a few sizes that could be trimmed to fit. No glue or adhesive involved, they just magically stick....
and peel right up if necessary.
Might be a solution for you.
