1. My cat likes the Eversewn 30. (To those who are concerned about the cat...I make sure the needle and foot are down and machine is off before letting her "help.")
2. It's my understanding Eversewn are made with metal workings and the son of the Bernina manufactures them.
3. I am not sure what you mean by slightly heavy duty crafting, but so far, I've not had any problems.
4. This machine holds the tension well and there are enought stitches to entertain me for a long time.
5. I have 2 Pfaffs and like them, but now go to the Eversewn 30. It's an easy machine to use.
6. Go to a shop if you can and try one. :-)
