Up until I met Tumblers via Bonnie Hunters leader ender challenge I'd never made the same quilt twice. I'm on my fourth tumbler
My current leader ender is pink/black/white and I'm just starting to assemble the strips this week.
You can adapt a number of rulers to use for tumblers, I didn't have any that went from wide to narrow so purchased a Marti Michell one. A ruler specific to tumblers has a notch in one corner so you get the correct offset, so when you open the patches to press they are straight across top and bottom.
That is the the only tip you really need to know about making them so have added a couple of examples. These are made from 2.5" squares, and the little trim bit is literally only a few threads but make all the difference in the finished product for me.

the third is the bed runner with left over fabrics Rob brought from Australia and New Zealand, backed by mystery quilt leftovers
the fourth is the beginning assembly of the pink/black/white one. Love this pattern
