Default My Version of an Antique Quilt

After reconnecting with some friends, I was compelled to make them a quilt. For many years, I always included them in our Christmas gifting circle therefore they always received handmade gifts from me. We recently reconnected after some years of life getting in the way, and I decided I had some Christmas gifts to catch up on. I wanted to make a classic looking quilt for them, so I started hunting through pictures of antique quilts online and found this and fell in love:

I got some graph paper and started to figure out a pattern to recreate it. I was originally going to make 12" blocks, but I had trouble with getting the sizing correct, so I settled on 9" blocks (finished) and made more blocks than the original because I wanted it to be a nice sized quilt. Here is my version:

I purposely bought 6-7 fabric pairings plus pulled a bit from my own fabric to give it a scrappy look. I love the backing fabric and had exactly enough, whew. It finished at ~74"x84" inches.
