They do go together quickly. I cut my 3 1/2" and 2 1/2" strips, then cut enough squares to do at least 10 blocks at a time. After trimming the triangles off, I just sew them up too. I will probably use them for a doll quilt of pinwheels. According to the charts that are available, you can get 110 - 3 1/2" squares out of yard of fabric and 224 - 2 1/2" squares from 1 yard. I am making at least 100 blocks, more if needed. I want to make extras to be signed by quilty friends that are not swapping.
