I was on a Keto/Paleo diet 4-5 years ago & lost approx. 35 lbs. Then, (fatal mistake) after about 3 1/2 months, ate some carbs & from that point, I could never 'get back on the horse' and consequently, re-grained all the weight. It can be difficult in the beginning but if you can get past the first 3-4 weeks & get past the Keto flu, then you should be good.
Ideally, to stay in Ketosis, you would eat no more than 20-30 Gm of carbs/day. Contrary to the belief that eating so much meat would have a negative affect on your cholesterol, it's just the opposite.
I used to put French Vanilla creamer in my coffee & eventually adjusted so that now I use half & half for my coffee & no sweetner.
It really is a much healthier way to eat.
