I have been working on TheMerk's block. I found one that intrigued me, and I scoured my stash for a print that would "go with" hers but not blend in thought I found the perfect fabric, and then as I was piecing them together I made sure each strip stood out from the one beside it. However after they were all together they just meshed together into a blob. I was very careful when cutting out the strips to have enough of TheMerk's fabric left over for the border, but that just was way too busy, so I did a purple border

But since I still had all that fabric for the border left I went ahead and made a second block, this one I like much more.
