Default Blue jeans quilt, finished...finally!

I’ve been saving old blue jeans for several years, have had the pattern for quite awhile...it’s from a Fons and Porter magazine..have wanted to make one for ages...now I do not! Whew...it falls under the category of....what..was...I thinking?. It was fun in the beginning...but who in their right mind makes a Queen sized denim quilt? I did it in sections, to cut down on working weight..I used red bobbin thread and white on top, so red and white thread shows on back side.. the little picture in black just shows the stitches I used in center of petals to reinforce them a little...white clasp stitch and yellow satin stitch, all normal functions on my machine...I first thought I’d use embroidery set up for centers, far too heavy to hoop. Almost all the red prints came from my stash...I used scrap batting squares behind the prints..would be plenty heavy without those.. the petals can also be ragged, I chose to use appliqué stitch. ....so, it weighs 15 pounds, took approximately 300 hours and 4 miles of thread.
