The older (late 40s to mid 50s) Necchi machines seem to have a wire insulation aging issue. Oddly, Necchi didn't manufacture the motor or the wire used, it was contracted out. Is your machine a cabinet model or a portable? - and, what part of the wiring are you questioning. (The motor leads, pedal leads, wire to light... etc). It would be helpful to know.
It is a cabinet with a knee lever, so part of it is attached to the cabinet. I was able to find the power lead and when I went to replace it some of the other leads started falling apart. And the leads to the light were not attached at all, so I am not sure which positions they would go. Attaching pictures to hopefully help. The image with the 2 black leads are to the light. the image with the white taped leads, the white leads go to the box in the next image, which goes to the knee lever. and the power cord is not currently attached to the machine, so I don't know which positions they would attach either.
