It depends on what type of quilting you want on it. A Stitch in the ditch or Diagonal quilting and some other free motion quilting can be done on a standard sewing machine. I have quilted about 10 queen size on my regular size machine. Granted the quilting is not fancy but I did it. It is tough, it takes a long time, but it is doable.
