This pattern is called Jack's Chain, my Mother in law made 2 of this pattern all by hand sewing. One quilt also was hand quilted and given to one son the other to my husband. She passed in 1986 and was one of last quilts she made. I am currently quilting this on my sit down machine. Slowly I will get it done and one of my children will get it. Yours is also very pretty, but oh so many small 1 " squares in this quilt.
