Default Portable design wall

Almost 20 years ago, I made myself a portable design wall using four 32x40 foam core boards, wood lathe, masking tape, wide velcro, and a hot glue gun. The foam core boards are held together vertically in pairs by glued-on lathe strips. Each set of the boards is covered in flannel, taped to the back. The sets can be used singly or together, held together from the back by additional pieces of lathe and velcro. When not in use, they can be stored behind a door.

Recently I decided the flannel had gotten pretty grubby, so I replaced it. You can see in the pics where the original masking tape was. (The old flannel got washed and layered in the patchwork for my corduroy jacket.)

I don't know that this wall is better than any others, but it is convenient, relatively inexpensive, and has served me well for a long time, so it seemed worth sharing.
