I mailed off packages to both birthday girls today!

I've been having a run of rotten luck on selling my home in Mesa. First, some enterprising jerk lifted the MLS listing off of Zillow and posted my house as being "for rent" on Craigslist. So my real estate agent found that and I reported it to Craigslist and got it shut down. Then, with a mere less than 2 weeks to go until closing, a vagrant broke in and was living in my house! The police were called twice, the first time on Tuesday they missed catching him, and then he came back and my lovely former neighbors saw him (again) yesterday and called the police and this time they caught him! So I was asked if I wanted to press charges. Heck Yes!! I'm really angry, I have to pay to replace the screen where he forced his way in, luckily the window wasn't damaged, it was left unlocked by who knows since so many people had been in and out since the house went on the market. Lots of empty food bags and some other trash was left behind which my real estate agent cleaned up today. I had him crank down my rolling shutters across the back just in case some other jerk decides to try and squat in my empty house. And I only can hope that the buyers don't get spooked and cancel the sale! I no longer live anywhere near Mesa so I have to rely on my former neighbors and the real estate agent to take care of the place until closing. But it's very concerning to have so many issues when trying to sell a home!
