Bobbin recommendation for Singer 237 and singer 347 machines
First, thank you to everyone who posts on this board, I have learned so much about vintage machines. I have a singer 237 fashion mate that was given to me by my mother-in-law many years ago, and a singer 347 that belonged to my mom. I decided that I wanted to start sewing on these 2 machines (I also have 2 newer babylocks and a middle aged Kenmore model 17860), because I want to try to put them in cabinets and use a knee lever controller with them. I am not sure if I have the right bobbins for the 237 and the 347. I have some metal bobbins but I think that they go with the Kenmore and I do not know what class they are. Is there a way to identify bobbins - like whether they are a class 15 or a class 66 or something else? If the metal bobbins fit in the bobbin case, does that mean that they are the correct type of bobbin for the machine?
